Building: Redeveloping the West End
Christ Church has been serving the community of Colliers Wood faithfully or 150 years and we hope this will continue for many years to come.
We want to be a place for worship, celebration and commemoration. We want to host events that bring this community together.
In order to serve and host the community well, we want to bring plumbing into the Church so that we can have running water, accessible toilets and a small kitchenette for refreshments. At the moments our toilets and kitchen are in the hall and are not fully accessible—and it's really important to us that we can offer our congregation and community a space that is fully functional, welcoming and accessible.
We plan to redevelop the West End of the Church below the stained glass window. We propose to build two toilets a small refreshment space with a sink and water heater, along with a couple of storage cupboards. One toilet will be wheelchair accessible, and the other will be ambulant-accessible.
The new walls will be clad with wood, making sure the new rooms fit discretely into the existing building, and will include shelving for books and space for notices.

All the plans can be seen in the church.
