Giving
At Christ Church, worship and ministry is sustained by your prayers and by people’s generosity with their resources – their time, their energy, their skill, and their financial generosity. Christ Church is not a wealthy church and is entirely funded by the generosity of the congregation, and we are very grateful for all they give.
There are a number of different ways to give to Christ Church financially, as well as by offering your time and your talents in service.
If you are a UK Tax payer Gift Aiding your contribution allows us to claim back from the government another 25p for every £1 donated.
Regular Giving
We encourage all our members to join our stewardship giving scheme and give regularly. This helps us to budget and to plan our activities, so that we use our resources wisely.
The Parish Giving Scheme is a direct debit service that enables generosity and giving in a simple way.
It allows you to manage your giving and to choose to gift aid your donation or to increase it annually in line with inflation. It allows us to manage all our donations well and to collect gift aid regularly.

Occasional Giving
We are incredibly grateful to visitors who feel able to donate when they are with us for a special service or an event.
You can donate a one-off gift to us online through our portal at Give A Little, or you can use the card reader and QR codes that you'll find in the church.

Leave a Legacy
We invite our members and our community to consider leaving a legacy to the church in their will, to help us to continue maintain our presence in this community.
You can also give a gift in memory of a family member or loved one who worshipped at Christ Church.
At Christ Church we welcome all gifts in wills, and all gifts given in memory of a loved one, however large or small. We promise to use your gift to make a difference in our parish.
Our Legacy Policy is to, wherever possible, use gifts to help fund significant development projects, whether buildings, equipment or staff. We will discuss possible uses of your gift with your executors when the time comes, bearing in mind your known areas of interest in the church (e.g. music, buildings, children and youth, overseas mission or aid) and the church’s priorities at the time.
You can be confident that your gift will be used to make a real difference to the mission of Christ Church to be a community that is Faithful to God, Sharing with those in need and Caring for one another. We will acknowledge gifts in whatever way the donor and/or his/her executors feel most appropriate to. Equally, we can make sure that gifts remain anonymous if the donor prefers.
