Ceremonies at Christ Church and their part in the community
Baptisms are usually held on the first Sunday of the month at our 11.00 a.m. Eucharist. If you are interested
in being baptised or getting your child baptised, Sylvia Mills, our pastoral worker, is available at the back of the church after
the Sunday service to help you with any questions you might have and to take bookings.
Confirmation preparation courses and ceremonies take place annually usually after the Easter break.
If you are interested please send us an email.
(The photograph below was taken after the Confirmation Service on 11 May 2008.)
If you are thinking of getting married at Christ Church, please get in touch
to talk through plans for your marriage. A helpful booklet is in preparation. (If you are trying to trace family members,
you may find it useful to contact
The Surrey History Centre,
130 Goldsworth Road, Woking GU21 6ND, Surrey (tel. 01483 518737), where non-current parish
registers and records are stored.)
Funerals for loved ones who have passed away can be held in this beautiful church, followed by burial or
cremation off site. We hold an annual All Souls Service in November when we remember all those who have
passed away and we light candles in remembrance.
