Gilly's February 2008 reflection (1)

There’s a particular conversation I remember having when my boys were growing up, all about Easter. They couldn’t quite understand how if Jesus was born at Christmas, he could have died so soon afterwards at Easter. Through children’s eyes, what might seem obvious to adults can be mystifying for little ones.

This year, there seems to be no time to breathe between the formal end of the Christmas season at Candlemas and the beginning of Lent, officially marked by Ash Wednesday. For those of us who are older, Easter will be here in what seems like the blink of an eye.
