There are two announcements of good news for the Merton Priory Team Ministry:

From January 2010, part of the Revd Nigel Stone's role will become that of Kingston Area Parish Support Priest in the Kingston Area Mission Team. He will be combining that work with that of Diocesan Olympics Adviser.
Recognising that both posts in the Merton Priory team are vacant, I have asked Nigel to work in the Team on Sundays and up to two days per week if required. To that end, he will be based mainly at Christ Church and St John's – until such time as a Team Vicar is in post. I am sure that you will welcome Nigel's ministry and that he will be a valuable support and help to you during this time.

The PCC and Church Wardens of the Merton Priory Team Ministry are pleased to announce the appointment, subject to the completion of procedures, of the Revd Chris Palmer as our new Team Rector. He will be based at Holy Trinity, South Wimbledon, but will work across the whole Merton Priory Team. At the moment Chris is Team Vicar of All Saints in Mortlake with East Sheen Team Ministry, where he's been for 7¹/₂ years, and serves as Area Dean for Richmond and Barnes. He will be taking up the post sometime in the spring. Please remember Chris in your prayers as he prepares for this transition. We will come back to you soon with details of joining dates and institution services.
